In addition to the Santa Cruz Audiovisual Hub, we also have a diverse ecosystem that seeks to foster the audiovisual scene in Santa Cruz do Sul and the region.
Learn more about the Santa Cruz Film Commission and the Santa Cruz Film Festival, two other major cultural organizations that provide the necessary assistance for the production, execution and distribution of audiovisual projects.
The Santa Cruz Film Commission is a public-private agency dedicated to supporting and encouraging audiovisual production in Santa Cruz do Sul and the surrounding region.
It seeks to offer comprehensive support, personalized assistance and a wide range of essential information, free of charge, to Brazilian and international producers who wish to film in the city and neighboring municipalities.
The organisation also aims to make the production process as efficient and enjoyable as possible, providing guidance on locations, logistics, permits and connections with local professionals.
It works closely with local authorities and other relevant bodies to ensure that all filming needs are met effectively and in accordance with regulations.

The Santa Cruz Film Festival is an event that seeks to highlight and give visibility to Brazilian audiovisual productions, with the screening of several short films and awards in various categories for the selected projects.
In its seventh edition in 2024, the Festival brought together audiovisual enthusiasts from all over Brazil during the first week of September.
Being the only event of its kind in the Rio Pardo and Taquari Valleys, it is organized by Sesc/RS, Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul (Unisc) and the production company Pé de Coelho Filmes.
In addition, the Festival promotes film events throughout the year, such as workshops, screenings and debates, seeking to offer the community a constant calendar of activities that promote the production and screening of films in the city.
All events connected to the Festival are free and open to the general public.
The selected films compete for the beautiful Tipuana Trophy in several categories. Created by Rudinei Kopp, the trophy is inspired by the main street of Santa Cruz do Sul, known for its old and extensive Túnel Verde.
It is a shaded street, where thousands of people pass through every day and make the city center vibrant and diverse.
